We met in August 2015, just three months after Andrew moved to DC. After answering a million questions on OkCupid, we started chatting and tried to set up a date. Adam cancelled on Andrew twice! To this day we believe it was fate that kept Andrew believing that Adam wasn’t just being fickle (turns out he had genuinely good excuses to cancel).

After two years of dating, Andrew moved into Adam’s Logan Circle condo in 2017, where we made lots of great memories and also endured the Covid pandemic together. Sharing a small office in a condo turned our work-from-home routine into an extreme sport. We learned way too much about each other’s work!

In December 2021, we bought our home on Allison Street in Crestwood, which felt like a big “forever” step! Now Andrew has a nice kitchen to bake desserts and cook dinners and Adam has a garden to grow the veggies for those meals.

Finally, on May 30, 2023, while on a birthday trip for Andrew to Quebec City, he asked Adam to marry him on the balcony of the historic Fairmont Le Chateau overlooking the St. Lawrence River at sunset.

And now we look forward to celebrating the next chapter of our lives together with you all by our sides!
